At Build Yoga we welcome you with open arms and practices to help. Whether you have been practicing yoga for a long time or have never been to a yoga class I will meet you where you are and provide individual instruction in a supportive class setting. I teach what I call light hearted yoga. It’s a combination of a sense of humor and serious devotion to offering each person what is possible through yoga. A Build Yoga class is unique in the level of personal attention you receive and it’s fun! Beginners, new students and drop-ins are always welcome. Learn about plans and pricing.


Classes are held at the Unitarian Meeting House, 121 North Pleasant St, in downtown Amherst, MA.

About Katie

For over 30 years I have been studying, practicing, and teaching yoga.

I believe yoga is a way to find balance in everything I do. I have put yoga to the test in all parts of my life; In relationships, as an athlete, as a professional carpenter, gardener, small business owner and mother of two.

Yoga has helped to relieve both physical pain and heartache alike. It has brought me back from injury multiple times.

I am passionate about sharing the practical ways yoga improves lives.


We have equipment you can borrow to get started, but eventually you will want your own gear.
