Class Descriptions

Build Yoga™ classes are based on the Elements of Nature, or Tattvas. The physical world we live in, including ourselves, is composed of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. Through the practice of yoga we can find alignment and balance between the different elements.

FIRE

Level 1 & 2. With the element of Fire, energy rises and heat aids in transformation. In this faster-paced class get energy moving, build strength, improve flexibility, increase heart rate, and help detox the body. This class will incorporate a variety of sun salutations, linking movement with breathing techniques. 

EARTH

Beginner & Level 1. With the element of Earth, energy moves down and creates foundation for growth. In this slower-paced class learn how to align the body, mind and breath through the basics of yoga. This class will instruct the building blocks for a safe yoga practice, through primary yoga poses and fundamental alignment principles.

AIR

Beginner, Level 1 & 2. With the element of Air, energy circulates and moves for expansion and inspiration. In this moderate-paced class learn how to align the body, mind and breath through on-going study of yoga.  This class will instruct meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques), and complimentary yoga poses. 

WATER

Beginner, Level 1 & 2. With the element of Water, energy flows and creates movement to open the body with fluidity. In this slower-paced class, align and open the shoulders, wrists, hips, ankles and knees for greater mobility and ease of movement.
